Clinical tests were made on following groups of patients:
Patients of the group of comparison - 40 persons (2 men and 38 women) with IIH and HLP (average age 52,4 years)
Patients of the 1-st basic group - 25 persons (5 men and 20 women) with IIH and HLP (average age 52,7 years)
Patients of the 2-nd basic group (200 mg squalene/day) - 20 persons (2 men and 18 women) with IIH and HLP (average age 59,4 years)
Patients of the 3-rd basic group (400 mg squalene/day) - 20 persons (2 men and 18 women) with IIH and HLP (average age 46,6 years)
Patients of the 4-th basic group (600 mg squalene/day) - 20 persons (3 men and 17 women) with IIH and HLP (average age 59,2 years)

Among others accompanying diseases of patients with IIH and HLP following ones were ascertained: deforming spondylosis and osteochondrosis of the backbone (75 %, 70 %, 65 % and 80 % of patients of the group of comparison and the basic group, accordingly), dyskinesia of the thick gut by hypomotor type (40 %, 30 %, 30 % and 50 %).
The clinical picture of patients by entering the clinic was enough typical in compared groups. Expressiveness of symptoms of IIH and HLP depended on degree of heaviness of these diseases.

Clinical:

Complex examination of patients in Clinic of dietetic therapy included studying of dynamics of objective symptoms of disease: level of arterial pressure (AP), frequency of cardiac contraction (CC) given by electrocardiogram, the estimation of organoleptic properties and bearableness of oil.

Biochemical:

Biochemical parameters were defined with the help of analyzer "Spectrum" of firm ABBOTT (USA). The content in blood serum of CS LPLD, CS LPVLD and the quantity of atherogenity coefficient (AC) was estimated in calculated way (Klimov A.N., 1984):

The activity of peroxide oxidation of lipids (POL) was estimated with the help of automatic analyzer "Clinicon-crown" (LKB, Sweden) by the content in plasma of blood of diene conjugates (Z. Placer - in modification by V.B.Gavrilova, 1983) and malonic dialdehyde (M.Michara and M.Uchigana, 1980), the state of enzymatic link of antioxidant protection (АОP) - on the basis of determination in hemolysates of erythrocytes of glutathioneperoxidase level (G.Mille, 1959) and superoxide scavenger (C.Beauchamp, l. Fridovich, 1971). The analysis of the structure of fatty acids of erythrocytes' membranes of patients was made by traditional method of GFC using of capillary column HP 23.

Immune:

The estimation of the state of humoral immunity:

1. The quantitative maintenance of antibodies: IgM, IgG in blood serum is determined by firm-fase method of immunoanalysis on the immunofermental analyzer with the help of sets of reagents produced by Joint-Stock Company "Vector-Best "(Novosibirsk).

2. The content of free fraction interleukins: IL-4, 1L-1 (3 in the of blood serum was determined by firm-fase method of immunoanalysis on the immunofermental analyzer with the help of sets of reagents produced by "Biosource" (Netherlands).

Polling:

The estimation of organoleptic properties and bearableness of amaranth oil was carried out by polling method.

Statistical:

Statistic processing of received results was made on PC with the help of programs, developed in the pack "Excel" version 6.0, using of library of statistical functions and was expressed as M ± t. The degree of reliability of detected distinctions was determined by using of Student's t-criterion.
